The Morris Brown Ball Club
W.E.B. DuBois, then a sociology professor at Atlanta University, and Thomas Calloway, an educator and attorney, assembled a series of photographs as a testament to the accomplishments of black Americans since Emancipation.
The series formed part of the American Negro Exhibit showcased as the 1900 Paris Exhibition. Included among the many treasured images was this photograph of ballplayers from Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia.
