Lou Boudreau + Larry Doby + Hank Greenberg
Larry Doby and Hank Greenberg had each broken further bits of Major League ground when they arrived in Cleveland, where Lou Boudreau was a established star (all three would make it to the Hall of Fame). Doby became the American League's first black player in July 1947, when he crossed the color barrier that Jackie Robinson had brought down in April.
Meanwhile, Greenberg had blazed a similar though less-harrowing trail in becoming one of the game's first big Jewish stars during his stellar career with the Detroit Tigers.
