A SCOREBOOK FOR THE REST OF US
CAPTURE THE MEMORIES
Playmaker Journal is the world's only baseball/softball scorebook for recording the performance of a single player, basic game data, and special highlights worth remembering.
SCORE THE PLAYER
Fill in the basic data and the batting order. For offense, here our player struck out looking in the 2nd inning. Ouch. Up to bat in the 4th inning, he knocked out a double and got another runner to home but was left stranded.
ADD YOUR STORY
In traditional baseball scoring there is no space to write that a catch was a "diving" catch or a "Willie Mays-style" catch unless you're scribbling in the margins.
But that's what we want to remember.
Here, our player caught a diver in center field in the 1st inning and was called to the mound in the 2nd where he struck out two batters, walked one, and the second baseman caught a pop up for the 3rd out.
Describe the game with accuracy in your own words and notations.
USE A CHEAT SHEET
The inside front cover is a guide for the player position numbers and abbreviations used in traditional baseball scoring. Use these with a combination of your own words to record the player's performance in the game.
